England chose to bat first after winning the toss in the opening ODI against India at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
India are touring England for a three-match ODI series scheduled on July 14, 16 and 19, with the first match being played at the Edgbaston ground.
With England setting the target, India will begin the contest in the field.
