Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has said the state is stepping up efforts to eliminate bribery in government offices, urging citizens to firmly refuse paying bribes and to report any demand for illegal payments.

Backing the anti-corruption message, Dinamalar newspaper said it is joining hands with the Tamil Nadu government to strengthen public awareness. The daily published a half-page public notice on Wednesday listing official channels for lodging complaints.

The notice includes the WhatsApp number, phone numbers, email address and office address issued by the government for reporting bribery. Dinamalar appealed to readers to take copies of the notice and display them prominently so they are visible to the public.

The paper specifically urged people to post the notice in offices where bribery is often alleged, including Revenue Department offices, Registration Department offices and Regional Transport Offices (RTOs). It also said the same details are available as shareable news cards on the Dinamalar WhatsApp channel.
