Finance Minister Maria Wilson on Friday said the Tamil Nadu Budget will be presented in the first week of August. She made the remarks while speaking to reporters at Thoothukudi airport.
Wilson said Chief Minister Vijay has been holding consultations for the past 16 days with ministers and officials across departments. She added that the Chief Minister has been spending around six to seven hours daily on these discussions.
According to the minister, the state Cabinet meeting was completed smoothly. She said the upcoming budget would be the first to be presented after the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government assumed office.
Wilson also claimed that people have been happy over the past 55 days and that the government has been monitoring matters across departments. She urged the public and the media to welcome the budget when it is presented.
