New Delhi: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has said the Central government will listen to the views of opposition parties in Parliament.
With the Monsoon Session set to begin tomorrow, the Centre convened an all-party meeting today. Rijiju urged all parties to extend cooperation to ensure the session proceeds smoothly.
Stressing that Parliament belongs to everyone, he said he expects MPs from both the ruling side and the opposition to participate constructively in debates on bills introduced by the government.
Rijiju added that the better Parliament functions, the more the country benefits. He appealed again to party leaders to help keep proceedings orderly, and said he expects mutual willingness to hear each other’s views.
