Vilathikulam DMK MLA Markandeyan has been arrested by police following a complaint over his speech at a public meeting held in Kovilpatti on July 18.
According to the report, the MLA allegedly issued a threat during the meeting, saying he would “break Chief Minister Vijay’s bones” if the Assembly doors were shut.
Police acted based on a complaint filed by members of the TVK, leading to the MLA’s arrest.
