Skyroot Aerospace has assured Prime Minister Narendra Modi that it will continue to serve global customers from India, following the successful launch of its rocket, Vikram-1.
Vikram-1 is described as the country’s first private orbital rocket to be launched successfully. With this milestone, India has emerged as the world’s third nation with the capability to place privately built rockets into orbit.
Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex on Monday, PM Modi praised the Skyroot team and highlighted the role of young talent. He said the average age of the startup’s team is around 28, calling it a sign of the times for India’s youth.
In a social media post, Skyroot thanked the Prime Minister for mentioning its team at the opening of Parliament’s monsoon session. The company said the remark underscored what young Indian engineers can achieve when ambition meets opportunity, and reiterated its commitment to continue serving the world from India.
