Chief Minister Vijay held a consultation in Chennai on the Mekedatu dam issue, meeting ministers Anand, Aadhav Arjuna and Nirmal Kumar.
Karnataka has been pursuing efforts to build a dam at Mekedatu across the Cauvery, a move that has triggered opposition in Tamil Nadu.
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly has also passed a resolution opposing the construction of the dam.
According to the report, the meeting focused on ways to prevent Karnataka’s attempt to proceed with the project. The Chief Secretary and other officials also took part in the discussions.
