Air India has temporarily suspended its flight services between New Delhi and Tel Aviv, citing security reasons amid renewed tensions in West Asia.
The move comes as the situation in the region has escalated in the days following a US attack on Iran. With the US reportedly refusing talks with Iran, the broader regional strain has intensified.
In this backdrop, Air India said the Delhi–Tel Aviv route will remain suspended until September. The airline stated that the decision was taken purely on safety considerations.
The suspension is expected to disrupt travel plans for passengers heading to Israel for work, holidays and personal commitments. The development has also caused concern among around 40,000 Indians living in Israel, according to the report.
