New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said the party will not participate in any debate in Parliament until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
The Congress has been pressing for Pradhan’s resignation, citing the NEET question paper leak issue. During the ongoing Parliament session, the party has continued to raise the demand and disrupt proceedings.
Even after Union Minister Kiren Rijiju assured that the government was ready for a discussion, Congress MPs refused to accept it and continued their protests, leading to adjournments in both Houses.
Kharge reiterated that the party would not allow any discussion or consultation in the House until Pradhan steps down, and maintained that Congress is not prepared for any debate before that happens.
