New Delhi: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju told the Lok Sabha that the government is prepared to hold a discussion on the alleged NEET question paper leak.
His remarks came amid continued protests and disruptions by opposition parties in Parliament over the issue. Rijiju said the government has been willing to take up the matter for the past three days.
He added that the discussion would be conducted as per parliamentary rules and that the schedule would be finalised after consultations with floor leaders of all parties.
Separately, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla invited opposition parties to help decide the agenda for the debate. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said the discussion should focus on action against those responsible and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a statement in the House.
