New Delhi: Proceedings in Parliament’s Monsoon Session were disrupted for the third consecutive day on Tuesday (July 22) after opposition MPs created a ruckus in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.
In the Lok Sabha, the House met at 11 am but was soon adjourned by Speaker Om Birla till 12 noon amid loud protests. When it reconvened at noon, the disruption continued, leading to an adjournment for the rest of the day.
The Rajya Sabha also witnessed similar scenes and was adjourned till 12 noon due to the commotion.
The Monsoon Session began on July 20. On the opening day, opposition parties, including the Congress, raised issues such as the alleged NEET question paper leak and a police lathi-charge involving Janata Party workers, resulting in both Houses being stalled without transacting business.
On July 21, repeated protests again led to multiple adjournments, and both Houses were eventually adjourned for the entire day.
