New Delhi: BJP national president Nitin Nabin has said the party will continue to stand by Dharmendra Pradhan following his resignation as Union Education Minister.
The resignation comes amid sustained protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi by CJBP activists, who condemned alleged NEET question paper leaks, impersonation and mark-related discrepancies, and demanded Pradhan’s resignation. The Union government had also been holding talks with the protesters.
In the midst of the protests and negotiations, Pradhan resigned from his post on Friday and sent a two-page resignation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Reacting on X, Nabin credited Pradhan with playing a key role in reforming the country’s education system and in implementing the “historic” National Education Policy. He said Pradhan’s decision to step down, citing broader public interest, reflected integrity and selfless public service, and added that the party would remain a steadfast support to him.
Nabin also wished Pradhan well for his future endeavours.
