A complaint has been lodged with the police in Chennai alleging that Kayalvizhi, daughter of former Union Minister M.K. Azhagiri, slapped a bank manager during an argument.
According to the complaint, an SBI branch is functioning in a building owned by Kayalvizhi in Adyar. When a lift in the building developed a fault, the SBI NRI branch manager, Harshheen Singh, tried to reach Kayalvizhi’s assistant to address the issue, but did not receive a response.
The manager then contacted Kayalvizhi directly to inform her about the lift problem. Following this, she reportedly came to the bank branch and questioned Singh sharply about calling her.
During the exchange, Singh was seated with both hands placed on his cheeks, and Kayalvizhi allegedly struck him on the cheek. The incident was captured on CCTV, the complaint said.
SBI RBO chief manager Namachivayam has sought action against Kayalvizhi and filed the complaint with the police.
