Chennai: Annamalai, founder of the organisation “We The Leaders”, has urged the Tamil Nadu government to ensure there is no room for irregularities in government recruitment examinations. He said issuing appointment orders while allegations remain unresolved would betray candidates who wrote the exam honestly.
In a statement, he referred to the Medical Recruitment Board (MRB) examination for Health Inspector (Grade-II) posts, conducted on December 7, 2025. He alleged that candidates had raised multiple complaints about rule violations at exam centres, mobile phone use, malpractice with the support of invigilators, and question paper leaks during the computer-based test.
Annamalai noted that the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court had ordered a CB-CID inquiry on February 24, but the investigation is yet to be completed. Despite this, he said the state government has issued appointment orders based on the list of successful candidates, calling the move “completely wrong”.
He added that even if the government cites court directions for issuing orders, it should have informed the court about the scale of alleged irregularities and the pending probe. He demanded that CCTV footage from all centres be examined, strict action be taken against those involved, the December 7, 2025 exam be cancelled, and a re-examination be held with stringent monitoring and full transparency.
