A British court in London has concluded that Saudi Prince Abdullah bin Fahd, 29, died after consuming excessive alcohol and drugs, leading to a fatal heart attack.
The prince had travelled to London in November last year and was staying at a five-star hotel. He was later found dead in his room under circumstances initially described as mysterious.
Investigators reviewed hotel surveillance footage and determined that no one else entered his room, according to the inquiry.
Post-mortem findings submitted to the court included a toxicology report stating that his blood alcohol level was three times above the permitted limit. The report also noted the presence of a potent party drug and a combination of strong anti-stress tablets.
The court was told that this dangerous mix triggered a heart attack, which was identified as the cause of death.
