Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday alleged that Pakistan’s army and terrorist groups are “one and the same”, in remarks made during an event at the Kargil memorial.
Referring to Pakistan, Singh said India would not tolerate terrorism and issued a public warning that the response could be so severe it would be “beyond imagination”.
The comments were made as tributes were paid to the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War, with the minister highlighting the sacrifice and bravery of the armed forces.
The statement comes amid continued political and security focus on cross-border terrorism, with Singh reiterating India’s resolve to protect national security.
