We The Leaders founder Annamalai paid homage at the memorial of former President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Rameswaram, joining members of Kalam’s family.
In a statement, Annamalai said he felt honoured to offer tributes to Kalam, describing him as a globally admired scientist and a leader who earned the affection of the people. He recalled Kalam’s message—“Dream, let those dreams become thoughts, and let those thoughts become actions”—as a guiding light for the youth.
He said the seeds Kalam sowed for India’s scientific progress, self-confidence and young people’s aspirations continue to guide generations. Annamalai added that realising Kalam’s vision of a “developed India” is a responsibility shared by everyone.
Speaking to reporters, Annamalai said he had been a student who listened to Kalam’s speeches and that he is now following Kalam’s path. He also noted Kalam’s belief that science and spirituality should coexist, and praised his journey from a small island to major achievements, saying Kalam’s fame should endure.
