RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday addressed a programme in Hyderabad, Telangana, and spoke about what he described as “wrong things” occurring in Western countries. He said these developments stem from incomplete ideologies and that those societies do not have clear solutions, leading to multiple problems.
Bhagwat also referred to the colonial-era mindset that portrayed everything ancient as worthless, saying it made Indians forget their own systems. He urged people to recognise the effects of trends emerging elsewhere and to act with awareness.
Pointing to debates in the West about who is “superior,” he cited arguments around whether men or women are higher. He said the idea that either a woman or a man can do everything alone is an illusion, and that meaningful work requires men and women to work together.
He further spoke about same-sex attraction and related communities, saying some orientations are natural and determined by nature, while some tendencies or attractions may develop later due to mental changes or physical factors. He added that such realities exist worldwide, including in India, and said arrangements have been made for such people in a peaceful manner.
