The Union government has stepped up its response to allegations of question paper leaks in NEET and other examinations.
According to the report, a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held last Friday to review the situation and discuss measures to prevent such irregularities.
The meeting decided to amend the law aimed at preventing malpractices in public examinations, signalling tighter legal provisions to deter leaks and related offences.
The report also said a new committee will be formed under the leadership of Nandan Nilekani as part of the government’s efforts to address the issue.
The developments were shared through a video released by the Prime Minister, the report added.
