A protest was held in Tiruppur demanding that paid darshan arrangements in temples be cancelled. The demonstration was led by Hindu Munnani state president Kadeswara Subramaniam.
According to the organisers, the protest was aimed at pressing for an end to paid darshan, which they said should be withdrawn from temples.
During the protest, speakers also raised concerns about an alleged “foreign conspiracy” and called on the intelligence agencies to investigate the matter.
