India added another medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, with a bronze in women’s weightlifting.
Bindyarani Devi secured third place in the 58kg category after lifting a total of 199kg. The result gave India its sixth medal of the ongoing Games.
With this, India’s overall tally so far stands at one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
Earlier, India had also won a silver in women’s 53kg weightlifting through 23-year-old Gyaneshwari Yadav from Chhattisgarh. She lifted 199kg in total, including 88kg in snatch and 111kg in clean and jerk.
