Minister Jagatheeswari on Monday rejected reports of a rift with fellow minister Keerthana, calling the claims false during a public programme held in Virudhunagar.
Speculation about differences between the two had been circulating after a video went viral in which Jagatheeswari questioned the district collector at a government function over Keerthana’s name being placed ahead of hers.
At the Virudhunagar event, both ministers appeared together. Jagatheeswari held up Keerthana’s hand while addressing the gathering, saying she considers Keerthana like her own sister and that their unity is proof of their relationship.
She said social media posts suggesting a clash were untrue, and added that regardless of who criticises or praises them, they would continue to work happily and in unity for years to come.
