An interview for a single contract dentist position drew heavy response in Tiruppur, with 80 candidates turning up for the selection process.
Officials conducted the interview at the Collectorate conference hall to appoint a dentist for a Primary Health Centre under the District Health Society on a contract basis.
Candidates from different parts of the district, mostly young dental graduates, attended the session. They were called in one by one as the hall filled with applicants.
During the process, officials verified educational certificates and held interviews. Authorities said one eligible candidate would be selected and appointed as a contract dentist at the Primary Health Centre.
