Tamil Nadu on Tuesday signed a set of investment memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with international organisations at the state’s investment facilitation agency in Chennai, in the presence of Chief Minister Vijay.
The agreements were signed at an event organised by the Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Department. The MoUs were executed between Guidance Tamil Nadu and Switzerland-based Chubb, Germany-based Nordex, the University of Western Australia, and South Korea-based MotiveLink.
According to the announcement, the proposed investments span multiple areas including Global Capability Centres (GCCs), research and development (R&D) centres, manufacturing, and higher education.
The state expects the initiatives to generate more than 2,920 direct and indirect employment opportunities in Tamil Nadu.
Dinamalar reported that the signing ceremony was also streamed live on its website and YouTube channel.
