New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday described the passage of the “Question Paper Leak Prevention (Amendment) Bill, 2026” as a historic achievement aimed at safeguarding the future of the country’s youth and students.

In a statement, Shah said the new law would serve as a strong warning to illegal groups that seek to undermine the credibility of the public examination system and damage students’ prospects.

He added that the legislation provides for stringent punishments for those attempting to commit malpractice in examinations.

According to Shah, the move will help young people pursue their aspirations without fear, by strengthening trust in the examination process.
