DMK has relieved Thoppu Venkatasalam from his role as the in-charge of the party’s Erode Central district unit, according to the latest organisational changes.
As part of the restructuring, the Perundurai and Bhavani Assembly segments that were under the Erode Central district setup will be reassigned to other district units.
Perundurai will be merged with the Erode South district unit, while Bhavani will be brought under the Erode North district unit.
The party said the two segments will hereafter be administered under the respective district secretaries of Erode South and Erode North.
