DMK leader M.K. Stalin has criticised Chief Minister Vijay, claiming that he is “standing alone” on the Cauvery issue.
Responding to the remark, the leadership of TVK issued a strong rebuttal, attacking the DMK and rejecting the charge of isolation.
TVK said the Chief Minister’s approach is guided by conscience and is aimed at safeguarding farmers’ interests. The party also said Vijay is mindful of the welfare of Tamil people living in Karnataka while taking decisions on the matter.
The exchange comes amid continuing political sparring between TVK and the DMK over the handling of the Cauvery-related concerns.
