Chennai: Minister Rajmohan on Monday alleged that “deliberate and malicious” false propaganda is being circulated against Minister Keerthana.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, he said the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is working round the clock on budget preparations and that a financial statement that would be widely appreciated is being readied. He added that MLAs and ministers are also intensifying work related to their departments and constituencies, and that the results would be seen soon in the Assembly.
Rajmohan also referred to Chief Minister Vijay’s decision to withdraw cases filed against those who protested against the NEET examination. He said he had not expected the move, described it as a pleasant surprise, and thanked the Chief Minister for what he called a gesture of standing with students.
On the allegations targeting Keerthana, Rajmohan said certain reports, including those published on a website, were put out without understanding the current ground situation. He claimed that while previous administrations did not attract significant investment, the department under Keerthana’s leadership had brought in major investments within the first three months.
He further asserted that the department had achieved in about 50 days what earlier governments took six months to reach, and said attempts to belittle the achievements of a young woman minister would not succeed, adding that Keerthana was performing well.
