Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan on Saturday said that if the Chief Minister “opens his mouth, many people will be in danger,” a remark he made while praising the Chief Minister’s approach.
Speaking in Erode, the minister said the Tamil Nadu government is carrying out its work on the Cauvery water issue by bringing everyone together, and that there are no differences of opinion on the matter.
Referring to the all-party meeting convened within the state, he said the focus should be on collective action rather than questioning the government, and that the shared goal is to protect and sustain delta farmers.
He added that the time to realise that goal has “successfully begun” from the previous day, and expressed confidence that the period ahead would be a “golden era” under the current Chief Minister.
Sengottaiyan also said a separate budget for agriculture will be presented, and that it will include all schemes aimed at farmers’ welfare.
