An Air India flight operating from Phuket, Thailand, to Delhi encountered severe turbulence mid-air, causing the aircraft to shake for a few seconds and leading to injuries among passengers.

The incident occurred on flight AI2379 when the plane briefly lost stability due to air pressure changes. Passengers and crew were reportedly alarmed as the sudden jolt caused some travellers to stumble and fall.

A total of 12 passengers were injured in the episode. The pilot regained control and the aircraft was brought down safely at Delhi.

Airport medical teams provided immediate treatment to the injured on arrival. Air India said passenger and crew safety remains its top priority and that it is extending all necessary assistance while cooperating with authorities as part of the inquiry.
