NEET candidates have filed an urgent petition in the Supreme Court alleging significant inconsistencies between their original OMR answer sheets and the OMR copies uploaded on the National Testing Agency (NTA) website.

The petitioners said the responses they marked do not match what appears in the online OMR copies released by the NTA, claiming a mismatch between the original sheets and the versions uploaded.

They argued that the alleged discrepancies could jeopardise deserving students’ chances of securing admission to undergraduate medical courses. The petition also stated that approaching the NTA did not yield any relief.

With NEET medical counselling currently underway, the candidates sought immediate intervention. Chief Justice Suryakant, after being approached for urgent listing, assured that the matter would be scheduled for an expedited hearing considering the situation.
