The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly’s budget session will continue until September 8, Speaker JCD Prabhakar said in Chennai after an Assembly Business Advisory Committee meeting.
He said the Agriculture Budget will be presented tomorrow. On August 7, the House will pass condolence resolutions for noted personalities who have passed away.
The debate on the budget is scheduled for August 7, 10 and 11, followed by the government’s reply on August 12. The Assembly will not meet on August 13, 14 and 15 due to Independence Day-related arrangements.
On September 7, Chief Minister Vijay is set to speak during the reply on police, fire and rescue services. The sitting will begin at 9.30 am and may continue up to 6 pm if required.
The Speaker also said the entire budget session will be livestreamed, with arrangements made for people across the world to watch.
