Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is set to meet at 10.00 am today for the presentation of the 2026–27 State Budget.
Finance Minister Mariya Wilson will table the general Budget, while Agriculture Minister Vinoth is scheduled to present a separate Agriculture Budget tomorrow.
The government, led by the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, assumed office on May 10. The final draft of the Budget has been prepared after receiving approval from Chief Minister Vijay.
According to the report, copies of the Budget speech have already been shared with ministers. As both ministers are new to presenting the Budget, department secretaries and political personal assistants have provided special training on how to read the speech, where to pause, and where to use metaphors.
