Dubai witnessed an unusual moment in the tech world as a well-known humanoid robot in the United Arab Emirates, ‘Bu Sunaida’, married its partner ‘Mosa’ in a traditional-style ceremony.
Bu Sunaida is a Unitree G1 model robot built for research and demonstration. The robot drew global attention last year after videos showed it walking on roads in a human-like manner.
According to reports, the wedding was held on August 1 in the presence of other robots and invited guests. The groom wore the traditional kandura, while the bride appeared in an abaya.
The celebration featured Emirati traditional songs, fireworks and dancing by guests, turning the event into a grand spectacle.
