Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has invited the state’s Members of Parliament for a consultation meeting on constituency redelineation, scheduled for Friday.
According to a statement issued by the Tamil Nadu government, the Union government has begun steps with the intention of carrying out a redelineation of constituencies.
The meeting will focus on the possible impact of the redelineation exercise on Tamil Nadu. It is set to be held at 3.00 pm at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chepauk, with the Chief Minister presiding.
Invitations have been sent to all Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs through the Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi, the statement said.
