New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday advised young people not to be intimidated by major challenges and to stay courageous in searching for solutions.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony at IIT Delhi, Modi presented degrees to graduating students. He described the day as the start of a new journey for talented youth and said it was a matter of pride to see students stepping forward with dreams of contributing to the nation.
Modi noted that each student’s path and aspirations are unique, and said he shared the sense of pride felt by families. He added that graduates were not merely receiving a degree, but moving ahead with the ambition to do meaningful work for the country.
Reflecting on the future, he said the world, technology, industries and work practices would continue to change rapidly, and that those who keep learning would succeed. He urged students to retain their curiosity, noting that no one can predict with certainty what the next 20 to 30 years will look like.
He also called on students to question ideas and practices that are accepted without adequate thought or understanding, and reiterated that they should not fear big challenges but remain focused on finding solutions.
