Jan Suraaj founder and Bankipur MLA Prashant Kishor has said that when the education system breaks down and unemployment rises, young people will “naturally” take to the streets in protest.
Speaking in Patna, Kishor referred to recent police action against protesters in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and in Patna, and said similar developments were being seen in Jharkhand as well.
He linked the unrest to repeated exam paper leaks and wider problems in education, arguing that such issues, combined with joblessness, push citizens—especially youth—towards agitation.
Kishor said protests cannot be contained through lathi-charge orders and warned that the matter will not end there. He called on the ruling governments to immediately find solutions to employment and education-related problems.
He also cautioned that if incidents like question paper leaks recur in the future, the government in power at the time would have to face the consequences.
