New Delhi: Union minister J P Nadda on Monday challenged Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to come to Parliament for a debate, saying the government was prepared for discussion and would give a fitting reply.
Speaking in Delhi, Nadda alleged that Rahul had been deliberately disrupting the functioning of Parliament for the past 15 days. He claimed Rahul frequently shifts his stand and is “running away” from a debate on the NEET question paper leak issue.
Nadda also accused Rahul and the Congress of adopting a “double standard” and engaging in negative politics. Referring to Jharkhand, he questioned whether they had listened to students’ voices and said he had received information that barricades were put up to suppress student protests.
He further urged Rahul not to spread misinformation, asserting that there was no firing at Jantar Mantar and that no orders were issued there. Nadda reiterated his call for Rahul to participate in parliamentary debate, saying the government was ready to respond.
