Health Minister Arun Raj on Sunday released the Tamil Nadu rank list for medical admissions at an event held in Chennai.

According to the details shared, 51,306 candidates from Tamil Nadu qualified in the NEET exam. A total of 72,672 applications were received for MBBS and BDS courses—41,721 under the government quota and 30,904 under the management quota.

In the main rank list, Venkatapathy Velayudham from Villupuram secured the first rank with 705 marks. Sreenika from Pudukkottai stood second with 700 marks, while A.M. Sudhar from Virudhunagar was third with 696 marks.

The minister also released the separate rank list for the 7.5% reservation category. Dinesh from Nagapattinam topped this list with 599 marks, followed by Dharanees from Salem with 595.

Arun Raj said 9,999 MBBS seats will be filled through counselling this year, and 2,000 seats for dental courses will also be filled via counselling. He added that there will be no extension for counselling, the rank list cannot be altered, and BDS seats are down by 200 compared to last year.
