New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised opposition parties for repeatedly disrupting Parliament, saying the government is prepared to discuss all issues on the floor of the House.
Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Shah said the Centre is ready to work towards a solution to the NEET issue and to respond to questions raised by Members of Parliament. He alleged that opposition MPs were not allowing either House to function.
Shah said he has made it clear that he is willing to answer any question in the House and listen to all viewpoints. He added that the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “nothing to hide” and wants Parliament to be allowed to conduct its business.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that Shah had been absent for the past 20 days and questioned his willingness to face the House. Rahul also raised a separate allegation related to firing on “children” and said the public, especially the youth, wanted answers, adding that Shah should resign if such an order had been given.
