A complaint has been submitted to the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) alleging illegal extraction of soil from Malappambadi lake in Tiruvannamalai district.
According to the complaint filed by Arappor Iyakkam, soil valued at more than Rs 8 crore was allegedly removed from the lake without authorisation.
The complaint names former minister E V Velu and his son E V Kumaran, among others, in connection with the alleged irregularities.
