Washington: US President Donald Trump has reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz is under American control, even as talks aimed at ending the Iran-US conflict continue without a ceasefire.

According to the report, the US has stationed 20 warships in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz area to prevent any threat from Iran’s navy, keeping tensions elevated in the region.

In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump said the United States holds “full control” over the Strait of Hormuz and would continue to maintain it. He described the US Navy as an “iron wall,” and asserted that Iran would be unable to challenge it.

Trump also made sharp remarks about Iran’s military capabilities and internal situation, alleging that Iran lacks a navy or air force and claiming that conditions there are worsening. He further accused Iran of making threats without action.

The statements come at a time when diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but the situation around the strategic waterway remains tense.
