The TVK government held its first investors’ conference on August 13 at a private hotel in Guindy, Chennai. Chief Minister Vijay inaugurated the event, marking the administration’s first major investment outreach after taking charge.

According to the state government, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with 97 companies, with proposed investments totalling ₹67,452 crore. The government said the projects are expected to generate employment for more than one lakh people.

The Tamil Nadu government also stated that it has attracted ₹1 lakh crore in investments within 100 days of assuming office. Minister Keerthana, speaking at the conference, said Tamil Nadu ranks as a reliable destination for investors compared to other states.

She added that investments have been drawn at an average pace of ₹1,000 crore per day, and highlighted a 21-day approval timeline for setting up companies. Emphasising local employment, she said people should not have to leave their hometowns for work and that the day’s investments would guide the state’s path for the next 10 years.

The event was streamed live on Dinamalar’s website and YouTube channel.
