RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday said the country stands to gain significantly if young people are guided in the right direction. He was speaking at an event in Nagpur.
Bhagwat noted that youth form a major share of the population and warned that without proper guidance they could become a burden on society in the future. He also pointed out that today’s youth will themselves become senior citizens in about 30 years.
He urged young people to think beyond their own interests and remain mindful of the needs of future generations. He said the youth should first understand how India differs from countries such as the United States, Australia, China and New Zealand.
Bhagwat added that people should reflect on the effort required to take India to a higher level, calling it a shared duty. He said India’s outlook should not be limited to economic considerations alone, and urged youth to face obstacles with courage and work hard to succeed.
