Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has conveyed Independence Day greetings to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day.
In his message, Putin said India has made notable progress in economic, social, scientific and technological fields, and has gained significant influence on the international stage.
He also noted that India-Russia relations continue to expand, with both countries working closely across multiple areas within the frameworks of international groupings such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and BRICS.
According to the statement, the partnership between the two nations would contribute to strengthening international security and stability.
Putin is expected to visit India next month to attend the BRICS summit in New Delhi.
