At a Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, ministers’ social media performance became a key point of discussion.

According to the report shared in the meeting, each minister received an assessment of their outreach efforts and the impact of communicating government schemes through platforms that have growing influence among young people. The review covered the period from May 1 to August 15.

As part of a broader push to ensure welfare initiatives reach the younger generation, the Cabinet decided that one Union minister should visit a university every day to interact with students.

During these day-long visits, ministers are expected to explain government schemes and achievements across sectors, while also listening to students’ views on the challenges facing the country.

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi and Union Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will coordinate these university outreach visits, the meeting decided.
