The Cauvery Regulation Committee (CRC) has recommended that 9,000 cusecs of water be released in the Cauvery for the next 15 days, to the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA).
The recommendation was made during the CRC’s 141st meeting, held via video conference from New Delhi, with members participating in the deliberations.
According to the committee, the proposed release schedule is intended for the upcoming 15-day period and has been forwarded to the CWMA for consideration.
The CWMA is expected to examine the recommendation in its meeting scheduled for tomorrow and issue an order after review.
If the release is implemented as suggested, Tamil Nadu is expected to receive about 11.66 TMC of water over the 15 days, as per the CRC’s estimate.
