An Indian content creator’s video has gone viral after she claimed a cafe in San Francisco, US, charged her extra to remove cheese from a sandwich.
Vagmeetha Singh, who has around 700,000 followers on Instagram, shared the incident while posting about her recent trip to the United States. In the video, she questioned what was happening in the country after her experience at the cafe.
According to her, when she asked the server to take off the cheese on the sandwich, she was told it would cost the equivalent of about Rs 72. She said she asked why she should pay for something she was not eating.
She added that the server responded that making the sandwich without cheese required extra effort, and that was why the fee was being charged. Singh said the explanation did not satisfy her.
The clip has since spread widely on social media, with users sharing similar experiences from different countries in the comments.
