Severe flooding in Nepal has wiped out hundreds of houses, leaving many families untraceable and uncertainty over the whereabouts of homeowners, according to reports.
In the Thunghe area, a black dog has been seen repeatedly circling the spot where its house once stood, even after the structure was flattened to ground level. Locals say the animal appears to be searching for its owner.
Another dog has been observed lying in front of a damaged home that is close to collapsing, continuing to keep watch as if guarding the place.
Videos and images of the dogs’ behaviour have spread online, with many viewers describing the scenes as a powerful reminder of the loyalty of animals that cannot speak for themselves.
