New Delhi: Twin sisters Nishitha and Nikitha from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, have been featured in the Forbes India “30 Under 30” list for their work in battery technology.
The duo founded a deep-tech startup called Nexus Power, where they developed a method to make environmentally friendly batteries for electric vehicles using agricultural waste.
Forbes India and Forbes Asia recognised their innovation by including them in their “30 Under 30” entrepreneur lists. The 20-year-old sisters have also gained wide attention on social media, drawing millions of views through fashion and dance videos.
According to the report, they were also listed among the youngest achievers in the 2026 Forbes “30 Under 30” international list, linked to their participation in advertisements for leading global luxury brands.
Nishitha said their early exposure to professional discussions at the age of 13 or 14 boosted their confidence. The sisters initially aimed to build electric vehicles, but later realised batteries were the toughest challenge and shifted their focus to improving battery technology through Nexus Power.
